Catholic Schools Week January 30th - February 5th The CSW theme is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” Catholic schools have a specific purpose of forming students to be good citizens of the world, love God and neighbor, and enrich society with the leaven of the gospel and by the example of faith. All food donations should be unopened and unexpired. Here are some suggestions: jelly ( plastic jar preferred), chicken broth, vegetable oil, crackers, soups, granola bars, canned fruit, cereal, mayonnaise, canned vegetables, juice boxes, pasta, pasta sauce, rice mixes, baked beans, canned meats, instant mashed potatoes. To make the drive fun for students, for each donated item, they can replace a piece of their uniform for their clothes. For example, if they bring in one thing, they can replace the uniform shirt with their own shirt. Two donated items may replace two articles of clothing. If a student brings in three or more items to donate, they can have a free NUT Day! Wednesday, Feb 3rd - Kindness Day Students will make cards or projects for the elderly, veterans, children in hospitals, etc. Thursday, Feb 4th - Student Appreciation Day NUT Day/Kelly’s Luncheon/Musical Chairs/ NO HOMEWORK * Kelly’s Lunch - St. Anthony’s lunch program is not available. If your child did not order, please send a lunch from home. Kelly’s does not provide a drink, so all students should bring a drink from home. * School-wide musical chairs over the loudspeaker * NO HOMEWORK Friday, Feb 5th - Teacher Appreciation Day/ Mass/ Early Dismissal * It is time to say “thank you” to your exceptional, hard-working teachers. Let teachers know you value them by writing them a letter, making up a poem, drawing pictures, refilling their supplies, etc. * Mass 9:00 am - Everyone is invited to join as we close Catholic Schools Week. * Early dismissal - The After School Program is available.
