Welcome to Preschool A Mrs. O'Brien
Preschool children are filled with the desire to learn, explore, and observe their world. School for them is a new world away from home; they begin to learn how to trust and become independent. Saint Anthony's Preschool A is their first step in this learning process. Children at this age need a structured environment filled with social interaction, parallel play, cognitive development, language arts exposure, and self awareness activities.
The goals for the program are:
* To encourage and reinforce positive behavior. * To help build a strong, healthy self identity * To increase social awareness and facilitate positive social interaction. * To develop problem solving skills (step by step from process to product) * To teach tolerance of individual differences.
Each child is respected as an individual and valued for whom he/she is.
DON'T FORGET THAT...
Preschoolers need to have their belongings labeled: art supplies, clothing, backpacks, lunch boxes, and any other items that are brought to school.
Snacks are needed daily. One snack and a drink are sufficient. If your child is staying the full day, he/she may order a hot lunch for $1.50.
As seasons change, please dress your children accordingly.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
